De studie van het Nieuwe Testament en het vroege christendom laat een heel uniek licht over de multiculturele wereld van de Late oudheid schijnen. In deze specialisatie combineer je het intensief tekstueel en archeologisch onderzoek naar de wereld van het Nieuwe Testament, het opkomende christendom en de vorming van het klassieke Judaïsme.
Entry requirements
- A BA degree or equivalent in Religious Studies or Theology, with a substantial component in New Testament, or in another appropriate discipline, such as Classics or Ancient Philosophy, and with a good knowledge of Greek
- The prime requirement is for a proven affinity with and ability for scholarly research. This may be demonstrated, for example, by an average mark of at least 7.5, and a grade for the BA thesis of 8 or higher.
- Proof of sufficient proficiency in English: IELTS test level of at least 6.5 or TOEFL score of at least 570/230/88-90, evidenced by an appropriate test.
This requirement does not apply if you have:- completed your education in Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, New Zealand or Australia, or
- an International Baccalaureate, or
- a Dutch VWO diploma
Applicants with a higher professional education (HBO) degree are not eligible for admission.
