Migratie, integratie, discriminatie, verstedelijking, burgerschap, sociale samenhang, burgermaatschappij, internationale interactie en economische crisis zijn belangrijke onderwerpen in het politieke en publieke debat. De specialisatie Migration and Global Interdependence draait om deze onderwerpen.
Programme
The programme consists of an introductory course, an in-depth study of one or more areas of interest and a final exam and thesis.
Introductory Course
The introductory course is taught in the form of an intensive literature seminar, in which you will be given an outline of issues relevant to the particular discipline on the basis of secondary literature.
In-depth study
You will follow a research seminar where you will carry out research on the basis of original source materials or published documents. Besides this, you will follow an optional course to develop additional knowledge and skills or another research seminar.
Exam and Thesis
The programme concludes with a thesis and a final exam.

We want our students to be part of the academic community that is formed by our staff. You will be invited to take part in our social and academic gatherings, among which are the bi-monthly gatherings where the members of staff present new research.
