In onze eenjarige masteropleiding Hebrew and Aramaic Languages and Culture bestudeer je niet alleen klassiek Hebreeuws en de diverse Aramese talen in hun 3000-jaar oude geschiedenis, maar heb je ook de mogelijkheid cursussen te volgen in de modern Hebreeuwse taal en literatuur en de huidige Israëlische maatschappij. Ook is het mogelijk je te verdiepen in verschillende Aramese talen en culturen, zoals Syrisch, Targumisch Aramees en Rijksaramees. Het departement Hebreeuws en Aramees van Universiteit Leiden is het enige departement ter wereld dat beide talen aanbiedt.
