Programme
The department offers various specialised courses. In addition to the cooperation with sister departments in the Netherlands, the programme also has close connections with many German universities—including Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düssseldorf, Universität Leipzig, Westfälische Wilhelmsuniversität Münster, Freie Universität Berlin—which you will be able to use and develop. Research-based co-operation also takes place with the Institute for Cultural German Studies at the Universität Bremen.
Although you will follow the majority of courses at your university of enrolment, you will be required to follow some courses from the three cooperating universities. For more information about the practical consequences of this agreement, please contact the study co-ordinator. Once you have decided upon your area of specialisation you will also be required to follow a number of courses outside your chosen specialisation area—again, you are free to choose courses from those on offer at the cooperating universities. Your Master’s thesis will be completed under the guidance of a supervisor at your university of enrolment.
