De specialisatie European Governance is ontworpen om studenten een uitgebreide kennis van de belangrijkste theoretische en empirische vraagstukken te geven in relatie tot bestuur in Europa. In de meeste cursussen ligt de nadruk op de Europese Unie, met bijzondere aandacht voor de invloed van de EU als een geheel van bestuursstructuren achter de natiestaat. De seminars van deze specialisatie concentreren zich op multilevel governance in de EU, EU instituties en besluitvorming, en beleidsimplementatie op diverse gebieden.
Programme
- Every student of Public Adminstration takes five core courses (25 ECTS). Those courses constitute a firm base on which the specialisation builds further.
- In addition to these core courses students take three specialisation courses (15 ECTS).
- Students conduct original research on a topic of their choice within their track and present their results in a thesis (20 ECTS).
