In de masterspecialisatie Onderwijsstudies staat de ontwikkeling van kinderen en adolescenten in de school context centraal. Het doel van het onderzoek en onderwijs binnen deze specialisatie is te begrijpen hoe mensen zich ontwikkelen en leren en daarmee onderwijs te optimaliseren.
Career
This master’s programme will enable you to become an expert in the field of children’s development in a school context. As a graduate of the programme, you will be up to date on all the newest scientific insights into learning, language and arithmetic skills, brain development, application to teaching, etc. With the knowledge and skills you will have acquired, you will be qualified for many different jobs:
- In education (school supervision departments, educational centres, research bureaus)
- As a developer of educational materials (e-learning, test-development organisations such as CITO)
- In policy support (for instance, national pedagogical centres, expertise centres or local town administration)
- As a designer or co-ordinator of training courses (educational advice bureaus, schools of professional education)
- In research (see also Research/PhD).
With your Leiden degree in Educational Studies, you will be able to do work in which you can directly impact the development of learning processes in children, adolescents and adults.
