De onderzoeksmaster Developmental Psychopathology in Education and Child Studies aan de Leidse universiteit is ontworpen om studenten te leren onafhankelijk een onderzoeksvraag op te stellen, op basis van bestaande inzichten in de pedagogische wetenschappen. Tevens wordt, door wetenschappelijk onderzoek, een bijdrage geleverd aan de ontwikkeling van nieuwe, fundamentele theoretische inzichten of praktische theorieën, met als doel het bevorderen van de pedagogische wetenschappen als een academische discipline. De opleiding wordt afgesloten met het voorbereiden van een artikel dat een dusdanig niveau heeft dat het gepubliceerd zou kunnen worden in een internationaal erkend wetenschappelijk tijdschrift.
Career
Graduates of this programme will be well prepared for further studies as a scientific researcher, both within the university (as in PhD programmes) or in other research institutes. To accomplish this, the research master’s is explicitly designed to address the topics of research in the institute of Education and Child Studies in order to enable students to participate in ongoing research projects.
