Als je sinoloog bent met belangstelling voor commercieel management, of een bedrijfskundestudent die meer wil leren over Chinese economie en ondernemerscultuur, kan de specialisatie Chinese Economy and Business jouw opstap naar de toekomst zijn.
Deze master is het resultaat van een unieke samenwerking tussen de Rotterdam School of Management van de Erasmus Universiteit en de opleiding Talen en culturen van China van de Universiteit Leiden. Het onderwijs wordt verzorgd door wetenschappers met een vooraanstaande positie in hun vakgebied en in de opleiding wordt de bijzondere expertise van beide instellingen gecombineerd.
De aanmelding en toelating voor deze master wordt geheel geregeld door de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam.

Objectives
At the conclusion of the programme, you will have gained a deep understanding of, as well as the tools to manage, the differences between Chinese and Western business systems. You will have acquired
- insights into the inner-Chinese political debate and how it relates to business practice
- the ability to adapt and modify conventional management concept and skills
- and the know-how needed to invest in sustainable business relationships with key Chinese actors.
The programme consists of four core courses in the first semester and two electives in the second semester. You will conclude your studies with an internship at a firm in China and your master’s thesis.
